1. Overview

Down2MP3 respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We do not host, store, or distribute any copyrighted audio or video files. Our service functions solely as a conversion tool that processes publicly available content from YouTube.

2. Our Role

Down2MP3 does not upload, store, or cache any media files on our servers. We provide a tool that converts publicly available YouTube videos into MP3 format at the user's request. All content is sourced directly from YouTube and processed in real time.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following:

  • Your full legal name and contact information (address, phone number, email)
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The specific URL(s) on our site where the allegedly infringing material can be found
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  • Your full name, address, phone number, and email
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its original location

  • Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
  • Your physical or electronic signature

6. Repeat Infringers

Down2MP3 reserves the right to terminate access for users who are found to be repeat infringers. We take copyright infringement seriously and will act promptly on valid DMCA notices.

7. Good Faith

Please note that submitting a false DMCA takedown notice may result in legal liability. Before filing a notice, please consider whether the use of the copyrighted material falls under fair use or other legal exceptions.
